Getting Zonorian to Run in Lutris (SOLVED)
This issue was encountered in Ubuntu 20.04 LTS, using GNOME.
Zonorian is a very small game, and I wasn't able to find any existing support to get it running on Linux. When I attempted it I initially got an error about the game not supporting 1280 x 800 display mode.
SOLUTION:
Download the
Zonorian Installer, not the zipped files. I placed the file in the directory where I planned to install it, ~/Games/Zonorian
In Lutris, I clicked the “Add Game” button in the upper left.
Game Info Tab: Name: “Zonorian” Runner: Wine
Game Options Tab: Executable “~/Games/Zonorian/ZonorianInstaller.exe” Wine Prefix: “~/Games/Zonorian”, Prefix Architecture: Auto
Runner Options Tab: Windowed (virtual desktop) set to ON.
Run the installer through Lutris. This creates several new files within the ~/Games/Zonorian directory. In ~/Games/Zonorian/drive_c/Games/Zonorian is zonorian.exe.
Right click on Zonorian in Lutris and select “Configure.” In the Game Options tab, change the executable from ZonorianInstaller.exe to Zonorian.exe.
